Are you a dynamic and organised professional with a passion for stakeholder engagement and program delivery? We are seeking a Project Officer to support our Skilled Migrant Talent and Industry Connection Program within a government department, enhancing migration opportunities and supporting local businesses and skilled migrants in South Australia.
About the Role
The Project Officer will play a key role in supporting project implementation, stakeholder engagement, and event coordination. You will work closely with industry stakeholders, businesses, and skilled migrants, providing critical information on visa products and supporting program awareness.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver and implement engagement plans with industry stakeholders, South Australian businesses, and skilled migrants
- Coordinate reporting on engagement activities and outcomes
- Respond to enquiries about visa processes, costs, and documentation, particularly employer-sponsored programs
- Provide efficient program support to increase visa uptake in South Australia
- Assist with the Skilled Migrant Talent and Industry Connection Program administration and stakeholder liaison
- Coordinate and support events, including Welcome to South Australia events
- Contribute to continuous improvement in systems and processes to enhance client service
- Develop informational material (collateral and web content) to promote migration programs to SA businesses
- Maintain accurate data entry in databases for effective client service, research, and reporting
- Support risk identification and management within your area of responsibility
- Contribute to discussion papers, Ministerial briefings, and speech notes as needed
About You
To excel in this role, you will need:
- Strong project management skills to support project initiation, documentation, delivery, and monitoring
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills, including PowerPoint and Excel for data analysis
- Excellent communication skills, adapting to diverse audiences and conveying complex information clearly
- Ability to verify information and ensure work accuracy and reliability
- Collaborative approach to building relationships with peers, stakeholders, and diverse communities
- Effective time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities
- Experience in event coordination and delivery
- Experience working with Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) communities and/or in a government environment (highly regarded)
