As the business continues to expand, we are looking for an Equipment Inspector to join our growing team.
About the Role
As an Equipment Inspector, you will play a key role in verifying and assessing equipment for auction. This hands-on position involves conducting visual and functional inspections, recording equipment details, and maintaining inventory accuracy. Working closely with the yard and sales teams, you will ensure all assets meet quality standards and are auction-ready.
You will also be responsible for loading and unloading equipment, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and assisting with pre/post-auction processes. This is a dynamic role requiring both technical expertise and strong attention to detail in an outdoor working environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct detailed equipment inspections to ensure accurate specifications and quality control.
- Verify inventory details, including serial numbers, contract documentation, and condition reports.
- Assist in equipment loading/unloading, yard setup, and auction preparations.
- Support sales teams with equipment appraisals and customer inquiries.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with company standards.
What We're Looking For:
- 2+ years' experience in equipment inspections, inventory control, or a related field (auction, logistics, or heavy equipment industry preferred).
- Valid Driver's License, Forklift License, and Wheel Loader License (or willingness to obtain).
- Mechanically minded, with an eye for detail and an understanding of heavy equipment.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, outdoor environment, handling equipment and yard operations.
- Proficiency in MS Office and inventory management systems.
