The Job
As the National Sales Manager, you will be at the forefront of our client's sales operations, hitting ambitious targets, and developing strategies to drive business growth. You will be passionate about client relationships and ensure the achievement of sales and market share targets.
This role is ideal for a highly motivated sales leader who thrives on identifying market opportunities, driving revenue, and working as a team for success.
You will:
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve national sales targets.
- Be involved in mentoring and training of regional/division managers to maximise sales effectiveness and performance.
- Establish, foster, and maintain strong relationships with key clients and industry partners.
- Oversee and refine the sales process, from lead generation to deal closure, ensuring a seamless client experience.
- Conduct market analysis to identify trends, potential business opportunities, and competitive threats.
- Oversee proposals, negotiations, and contract renewals to close sales efficiently and maximise revenue.
- Ensure alignment of sales activities with the company's policy, maintaining compliance with industry standards and best practices.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand market presence and diversify revenue streams.
- Manage and report on sales performance, market trends, and competitive activities to senior leadership.
- Lead by example, demonstrating best practices in sales techniques, client engagement, and negotiation strategies.
- Be focussed on new business and a hunter of sales
We are looking for:
- Extensive experience within the building services industry, preferably electrical, or relevant industry.
- Proven track record of exceeding sales targets and growing market share in a competitive environment.
- Strong B2B relationship management experience with key stakeholders and decision-makers.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while delivering high-impact results.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and influencing skills.
- Proficiency in sales forecasting, budgeting, and performance analysis.
- A valid driver's license and willingness to travel as required.
- Desirable: Tertiary qualifications in business, sales, or a related field, along with established industry networks.
