Our client, a leader in the auction and heavy equipment industry, is seeking an Equipment Inspector to join their team in Geelong. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience in equipment inspection, inventory management, or yard operations who thrives in a hands-on role.
About the Role:
As an Equipment Inspector, you will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and quality of equipment inventory. You'll be responsible for conducting inspections, verifying equipment details, and capturing high-quality images for auction listings. This role involves both administrative tasks and hands-on yard work, making it ideal for someone who enjoys a varied work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform detailed visual inspections of equipment, checking for wear, damage, and functionality.
Accurately document equipment details, including serial numbers, contract proofs, and additional accessories.
Capture and upload high-quality photos for auction listings.
Assist with equipment loading/unloading and yard maintenance.
Work closely with sales and operations teams to support equipment appraisals and inspections.
Maintain inventory records and ensure accuracy in data entry.
Promote a strong safety culture in all aspects of the role.
What We're Looking For:
Experience: 2+ years in equipment inspection, inventory control, or a related field (preferably in auctions or heavy equipment industries).
Licences: A valid driver's licence is required. Forklift and wheel loader licences are highly regarded.
Skills: Strong attention to detail, organisational skills, and the ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines. Proficiency with MS Office is a plus.
Attributes: A hands-on, process-driven mindset with the ability to work both independently and within a team. You should be adaptable, proactive, and ready to roll up your sleeves.
