This company operates in the mineral and mining sector and has multiple group companies. Your primary responsibilities will include handling accounting reports and facilitating various communications between the group companies and the headquarters.

MAIN PURPOSE OF POSITION:
Corporate Services Accountant is responsible for ensuring that communications between this Corporation and HQ are efficient and ensure that both parties understand each other needs and business desires with particular emphasis on the financial and accounting needs. Your responsibility is mainly sending various group companies reports.
Key Accountabilities
Finance and Accounting
- Liaise Head office to communicate and assist the understanding of the group's financial and accounting results and communicate accounting requirements to the group businesses.
- Prepare, translate and report financial results, budgets and forecasts, and assist in the running of the accounting processes
- Liaise between HQ to help communication and the understanding of projects and issues.
- Ensure that the Managing Director is kept informed of any issues, opportunities or concerns of executives.
- Ensure to kept informed of the status of the group companies, including major issues and projects.
SKILLS:
- Ability to speak and write fluent Japanese and English.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Tertiary education or demonstrated expertise in business with accounting qualifications.
- Ability to organise and prioritise daily duties.
- Strong level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to take on responsibility and accountability.
- Able to work autonomously and as part of a broader team.
- Ability to solve problems and verbalise solutions.
- Intermediate to advanced computer software skills, including Excel and other accounting software packages.
- Ability to work within a team framework
