This part-time position offers an opportunity to provide essential support in maintaining accurate financial records while assisting with various administrative functions across multiple businesses. As a key team member, you will be instrumental in ensuring seamless day-to-day operations.
What you will do:
Overseeing a broad range of bookkeeping tasks, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and general ledger management.
Generating financial statements and reports on a regular basis.
Handling complex freight invoices and reconciliation, managing intercompany accounts, and processing overseas invoices with accuracy and efficiency.
Conducting job costing to track expenses and profitability.
Managing overseas transactions, ensuring accuracy in multi-currency accounting.
Providing administrative assistance, including data entry, filing, and general office support.
Coordinating with our finance team (offshore) to ensure all financial data is accurate and processed in a timely manner.
Identifying areas for improvement in financial processes and suggesting practical solutions.
What We're Looking For:
Proven experience in a bookkeeping or accounting assistant role, preferably within a small to medium-sized business environment.
Background in freight reconciliations, job costing, and handling overseas transactions.
Strong proficiency in accounting software, particularly Xero.
High attention to detail and accuracy in financial management.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team setting.
A proactive, problem-solving mindset with the capability to work independently.
Familiarity with payroll processing and tax compliance.
- Able to work from head office, on site (please note this is NOT a remote role)
