Maintenance Handyman

We're looking for a dedicated Maintenance Worker to provide essential modifications and repairs to the homes and yards of older adults and individuals with disabilities, ensuring their environment remains safe and accessible.

Position Highlights:

• Conduct minor home and yard repairs without requiring a trade qualification.
• Perform maintenance that enhances safety and independence, from installing handrails to securing flooring.
• Tackle urgent needs such as fixing lighting, addressing water issues, or securing doors and windows.
• Carry out non-urgent tasks, including pruning, small painting jobs, and gutter cleaning, to maintain a safe, pleasant environment.
• Assist clients in navigating maintenance needs, providing information on council and community services.

What We're Looking For:

• Experience in maintenance
• Valid Victorian driver's license.
• Ability to prioritise, troubleshoot, and work independently, with knowledge of safe work practices.
• Strong communication skills to effectively assist and support clients.
• Physically fit to perform the role
• Clear police check is required.

This is a casual 1-month assignment, with the possibility of extension at an hourly rate of $45.50p/hr
