Comprised of both paid staff and a large volunteer base, it is responsible for responding to and managing fire emergencies, providing education on fire safety, and promoting community readiness. With a strong focus on risk reduction and disaster resilience, this organisation works across the state and nationally, ensuring the safety of life, property, and the environment.
We are seeking a Senior Project Officer to lead the development and implementation of project plans for the Assets and Infrastructure team across the state. As a Senior Project Officer with a strong background in managing complex projects, driving innovation, and ensuring alignment with strategic goals. This senior role offers the opportunity to make a lasting impact on community-focused projects that support one of Australia's most vital emergency services.
This is an exciting opportunity to ensure resources are efficiently and effectively coordinated to meet the needs of our critical infrastructure projects.
This is a contract position until 31st March 2025 with possability of extension
Location: Glendenning NSW (with occassional travel to the Headquaters in Homebush)
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage project planning, scheduling, and control activities, ensuring effective risk, budget, and quality management.
- Provide expert advice on complex reporting, facilitation, and process development to guide decision-making and prioritize project risks.
- Research and drive innovative solutions for continuous improvement in performance and project outcomes.
- Manage relationships and deliverables with external providers to meet agreed standards, budgets, and timeframes.
- Oversee stakeholder management activities to ensure engagement and positive contributions to building construction projects.
- Support project management functions and contribute to the development of policies and tools that align with organisations objectives.
What We're Looking For:
- Advanced Diploma in a relevant discipline (e.g., Project Management) or equivalent experience.
- Expertise with SAP systems or Enterprise Asset Management (EAM).
- A genuine appreciation for volunteer-based community service.
