About the role:
As a Projects & Design Engineer you will play a essential role in product engineering, with a focus on managing and documenting changes to components of our engine systems. This position offers the opportunity to oversee technical tasks across the entire product lifecycle, acting as a central point of coordination between various engineering disciplines and stakeholders. With exposure to product configuration, change management, and continuous improvement, this role is ideal for an engineer looking to develop a robust foundation in project management and product design.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Problem Investigation & Resolution: Analyse product issues, identify root causes, and propose effective solutions in collaboration with senior team members.
- Business Process Support: Work within established processes for new product development and engineering change management, using tools like ERP systems and design review checklists.
- Technical Coordination: Oversee and guide CAD modelling and drafting efforts, coordinate with engineering resources, and ensure specifications align with product requirements.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Gather and integrate ideas from technical managers, project leaders, quality engineering, supply chain, and production teams to ensure quality product decisions.

Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a relevant STEM field.
- 2-8 years of post-graduate experience in product engineering, ideally within manufacturing, mechanical, or engine-focused environments
- Proficient in CAD software (preferably Creo) and ERP systems (SAP); skilled in MS Office tools.
- Demonstrated experience in engineering change management and technical documentation, with a proactive approach to solving complex product issues.
This is an initial 12 -month casual assignment working Monday - Friday 8:30-5pm, Located in Scoresby Victoria
This role requires someone with full working rights (Australian Citizen or PR)
