HOBAN Recruitment is recruiting for the role of EL1 Assistant Director level Financial Reporting on behalf of our client, located in Surry Hills NSW.
About the Role
The EL1 Assistant Director level Financial Reporting is an integral leadership role, overseeing the financial functions across the organisation. You will be accountable for managing and coordinating various activities including financial reporting, month-end procedures, and stakeholder relationships. This role is key to maintaining an efficient, compliant, and high-performance financial reporting environment.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading components of the Financial Reporting team, including month-end inputs, reporting, analysis, risks, and controls, alongside reviewing balance sheet reconciliations.
- Driving and improving the month-end cycle within the finance team to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
- Coordinating the General Ledger close and monthly reporting procedures.
- Leading preparation for the Agency's financial statements, liaising with the Australian National Audit Office (ANAO) on audit matters.
- Managing relationships with internal and external auditors, business partners, and other key stakeholders.
- Overseeing the management of the Agency's fixed assets register, including coordination with Corporate Shared Services and Agency resources.
- Ensuring compliance and financial assessment of the Agency's property lease contracts and accounting entries into the lease accounting register.
- Developing and presenting financial and business materials, such as reports, briefs, and correspondence.
