APS 6 Level Policy officer

As an APS 6 Level Policy Officer within our client's Partners, Providers, and Home and Living Group, located in SURRY HILLS NSW, you will play a key role in advancing policy reforms across branches, including Home and Living Reform, Home and Living Supports, Pricing and Economics, and Partner Policy.
Your role will involve collaborative and innovative work to enhance disability supports and services through policy design and implementation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design streamlined systems for disability supports navigation and coordination
- Innovate and shape policy in home and living supports and accommodation markets
- Develop and refine policy documents, reports, and briefings
- Engage in co-design with stakeholders, including the disability community
- Conduct research and manage projects to create a stable market for services

About You
To excel in this role, you will ideally bring:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience in policy development, including contributions to policy papers and briefings
- Understanding of the policy cycle, with insight into government processes and frameworks
- Effective communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- A Bachelor's degree in Arts, Political Science, Economics, Social Work, or a related field is preferred
- Background in social or disability policy is highly regarded
