HOBAN Recruitment is seeking an experienced professional for the role of EL1 Level Assistant Director of Strategic Intelligence for an important federal government initiative located in NEWCASTLE NSW.
This critical position will play a central role in producing and managing high-quality intelligence products, driving informed decision-making, and supporting fraud and integrity efforts across government agencies.
About the Role:
- Lead Strategic Intelligence Projects: Directly influence our client's strategy by coordinating high-impact intelligence projects.
- Collaborate and Inform: Work with the Fraud Fusion Taskforce and other agencies to share insights, develop intelligence products, and prepare briefings for senior management and ministerial responses.
- Manage Stakeholder Relationships: Represent the agency's interests in cross-departmental forums and ensure alignment with government objectives.
- Utilise Analytical Tools: Leverage software like Analysts Notebook and iBase to manage workloads and produce reporting for intelligence operations.

About You:
- Proven Leader: Demonstrated experience leading intelligence teams and managing complex projects.
- Analytical Expertise: Skilled in producing intelligence products and capable of delivering high-quality insights.
- Knowledgeable in Criminal Frameworks: Strong understanding of Australian criminal and regulatory response systems.
- Desirable Skills:
- Familiarity with fraud-related issues in government departments.
- Background in the fraud intelligence discipline.
- Experience in providing intelligence training and development.
