EL1 Level Service Designer

HOBAN Recruitment is seeking an experienced EL1 Level Service Designer for a government agency dedicated to improving service delivery for participants. In this role, you will lead service design initiatives, drive process improvements, and ensure participant needs are at the forefront of decision-making.
This position is located in DEAKIN NSW.
Key responsibilities:
- Conduct research and insights analysis to improve service delivery.
- Design and document current-state service experiences to enhance participant and staff interactions.
- Lead and manage process design improvements with a human-centred approach.
- Facilitate design-thinking workshops with stakeholders and service users.
- Apply service design principles to ensure seamless participant experiences across multiple touchpoints.
- Develop service blueprints, journey maps, and user personas to inform decision-making.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and key stakeholders to drive innovation.
- Provide leadership, coaching, and mentorship to team members.

About You:
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Experience working in agile, multidisciplinary teams on large-scale projects.
- Strong expertise in human-centred design, service design, and user research.
- Proficiency in design tools such as Miro, Figma, and Mural.
- Ability to develop user personas, journey maps, and service blueprints.
- Strong stakeholder engagement, negotiation, and facilitation skills.
- Capacity to manage change and ambiguity in a complex environment.
- Experience in operationalising service design processes and delivering impactful results.
- Knowledge of disability services, or public sector operations (desirable).
