About the Role
As the Design Manager, you will act as the primary engineering representative, overseeing technical teams to deliver timely, cost-effective, and accurate designs for wastewater projects.
Location: Adelaide CBD
Contract: Casual Full-Time, 6 Months (ASAP Start)
Hourly Rate: $70 - $80 per hour (negotiable based on experience)
Key Responsibilities
- Champion health and safety compliance, including adherence to Safety in Design standards.
- Plan and deliver effective design solutions, ensuring milestones, costs, and project deadlines are met.
- Oversee design quality, ensuring alignment with technical standards and review mechanisms.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, providing clear updates on project progress and changes.
- Inspire and lead multidisciplinary technical teams, fostering a culture of high performance.
- Drive the adoption of new technologies and continuously improve design processes and documentation.
About You
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering (essential).
- Postgraduate qualifications in Project or Business Management (desirable).
- Extensive experience in managing designs for water infrastructure projects, including wastewater systems.
Skills and Attributes:
- Strong leadership presence, inspiring team collaboration and high performance.
- Proven ability to develop and execute effective design delivery strategies.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills.
