Machine Operator

Our client is seeking a skilled and dedicated Night Shift Printer to join our team. As part of our operations, you will be responsible for operating printing machines, ensuring the efficiency of processes, and performing key maintenance tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and supervise printing machines during the night shift.
- Perform routine maintenance and adjustments to machines, including replacing ink cartridges and adjusting machine timings and belts.
- Maintain a high level of attention to detail, ensuring quality output and identifying minor mechanical issues to fix.
- Keep ink wells topped up, clean plate cylinders, and ensure varnishing units are maintained.
- Prepare consumables and assist with the creation of boxes as required.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to housekeeping standards.
- Flexibility to operate a forklift when needed (LF license advantageous but not necessary).
- Efficiently report on work progress and machine performance.
Preferred Experience and Skills:
- Experience with offset printing and screen printing, particularly in the flex dry process.
- Mechanical aptitude for fixing minor machine issues.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision during the night shift.
- Genuine motivation to work night shift, such as balancing family responsibilities or other personal reasons (partner works day shift, etc.).
