Drafts-Person / Assistant

We are seeking a skilled Design Draftsman to join our client in Kings Park. In this role, you will use AutoCAD, Inventor, and Creo to create detailed designs and project documentation. You'll collaborate with engineers, sales teams, and customers to produce accurate drawings and bills of material while ensuring compliance with HSE procedures and industry standards.
Shift
Flexible start: between 7am to 9am
Duties include:
- Ensure all HSE procedures are followed, and all incidents are reported accordingly
- Design and drafting utilising CAD packages including AutoCAD, Inventor and Creo.
- Produce associated project documentation utilising Microsoft Office applications.
- Work directly with engineering staff, sales staff and customers to produce drawings and bills of material from sketches, existing drawings, and electronic images, along with written and verbal descriptions.
- Work closely with all departments in the plant to ensure that the drawings convey the correct information and are error free
- Work from customer drawings, company drawings, vendor drawings or specifications. Use corporate drawing standards as guidelines
- Work within a Systems Engineering and Quality Assurance framework
- Interpret and apply Australian and International Standards to designs.
- Performs additional related duties as requested or required.
- Project Management of multiple projects at any one time.
- Communication with internal and external stakeholders.
- Responsibility for on time delivery of project deliverables.
To be successful:
- Demonstrate effective communication and team skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Be self‐motivated and capable of multitasking.
- Interact in a friendly and efficient manner with suppliers, customers and staff
- Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical/Mechatronics) - Or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years' experience in engineering and production
- IT knowledge: SAP MM, PP, Microsoft Office
- Autodesk - AutoCAD, Inventor and Vault experience
- PTC - Creo and Windchill experience
