About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient individual to join our client's team as an Executive Assistant. In this pivotal role, you will use your organisational and communication skills to ensure the smooth operation of the executive office and contribute to the success of our client's mission to support people with disabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage emails, appointments, and prepare briefing materials.
- Schedule meetings, prepare reports, and documents related to committees and projects.
- Organise travel arrangements and support official functions on behalf of the General Manager and other agency staff as directed.
- Provide guidance, support, and quality assurance to staff at lower classification levels.
- Identify and contribute to the resolution of issues and problems as they arise.
- Maintain a well-developed understanding of relevant legislation and policy frameworks.
- Assist with maintaining risk management programs.

Key Selection Criteria:
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritise effectively, and maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact with internal and external stakeholders, prepare reports, and handle correspondence.
- Efficient time management.
- Demonstrated critical thinking and decision-making abilities.
- Competence in using office software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite) and other relevant tools for scheduling, document preparation, and communication.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work environments, and to support various functions as needed.
Qualifications and/or Experience:
- Qualifications in business administration, management, office administration, project management, or a related field, or equivalent work experience in lieu of formal qualifications.
- Proven experience in an administrative or executive assistant role, preferably within a government or large organisational setting.
Working Conditions:
- Working in an open office environment (exposure to general workplace chatter).
- Working from home on occasion.
- Working in a hot desk environment.
- Significant periods of sitting at a counter or desk.
- Operating a telephone.
- Computer/screen-based work.
- Ability to use computer/software applications including Microsoft Office and business systems.
- Assistance animals may be in the work area.
