Job Overview:
We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Director of Tax Services to oversee the tax obligations of the international and local clients, ensuring their full compliance with Australian tax laws, including income tax, GST, and fringe benefits tax. This role also involves ensuring all reporting obligations are met under the Tax Administration Act.
Responsibilities:
As the Director of Tax Services, you will lead both local and offshore teams, ensuring seamless delivery of tax compliance services for our client portfolio. You will play a critical role in managing the tax compliance process, leveraging your deep knowledge of relevant tax legislation and your strong leadership abilities to drive success.
In this position, you will be responsible for supervising all strategic, operational, and compliance functions related to tax services, ensuring that these align with the company's objectives and are executed to the highest standards.
Key Duties:
- Lead and manage the tax compliance efforts of our Australian and offshore teams to ensure accurate and timely services.
- Ensure that all tax-related obligations, such as income tax, GST, and fringe benefits tax, are fully adhered to.
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting in compliance with the Tax Administration Act.
- Manage and optimize processes to ensure efficiency in tax compliance operations.
- Work closely with the broader business to ensure tax services align with the company's overall goals and strategies.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing them with expert tax advice and ensuring their requirements are met.
Qualifications & Experience:
- In-depth knowledge of Australian tax laws and compliance processes, including income tax, GST, and fringe benefits tax.
- Extensive experience in managing tax compliance, both domestic and international.
- Strong leadership capabilities with experience in managing cross-functional teams (both local and offshore).
- Excellent client management and communication skills, with a focus on providing value-added services.
- A strategic mindset with the ability to align tax functions with broader business objectives.
