EL1 Level Facilities Manager

Join a dynamic and strategic team responsible for managing and maintaining a nationally significant heritage facility located in Parkes / Canberra ACT.
This is an exciting leadership opportunity where you will oversee facilities management, lifecycle maintenance, compliance, and emergency planning while supporting the organisation's strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement facilities management plans, policies, and systems.
- Manage procurement and contracts for outsourced services such as catering, cleaning, and utilities.
- Lead emergency and incident response, acting as the Chief Warden.
- Ensure compliance with Commonwealth procurement and heritage conservation requirements.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

About You:
We are seeking a motivated and experienced professional with:
- Qualifications or Experience: A background in facilities management, construction, or a related field (mandatory).
- Leadership Skills: Ability to coach, mentor, and manage team performance.
- Expertise: Knowledge of facilities management in a heritage context and Commonwealth procurement standards.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Proven ability to develop strategic policies and manage complex issues.
- Security Clearance: Eligibility to obtain and maintain an NV1/Baseline security clearance (At Client cost).
- Desirable: Experience in managing heritage facilities.
